Introduction
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is one of the surgical departments available at Faculty of Medicine UiTM Sg Buloh Campus. We are guided by our mission to obtain excellence not only in our clinical services but also in educational and research area.
Clinical Service We provide full time clinical as well as surgical services at CTC, Sungai Buloh Campus. We also run Specialist Clinic in Hospital Tengku Ampuan Jemaah,Sabak Bernam once every 2 months.
Education:The medical students are exposed to variety of ORL related diseases in the ORL clinics and given the opportunity to observe surgeries in the operating theatre in UiTM Medical Specialist Centre and Hospital Sungai Buloh.The 4th year medical students are attached to our department for 2 weeks as part of their Short Posting rotations. During these two weeks, they are given lectures, tutorials, seminars and clinical presenting scenarios (CPS). They are also taught on basic examination techniques at our well equipped Clinical Skills Lab.
Research:We are embarking into a number of research and award-winning innovation projects within and outside the faculty level.
