The Faculty of Medicine offers postgraduate Masters and PhD programmes in 2005, starting with MSc and PhD by research. Facilities for research that are available include IMMB, Neuron, CPDRL, CenTRe, and LACU located within the campus.

In 2011, the faculty also embarked on clinical master and doctorate programmes for specialty training. Gradually, training will be conducted in all clinical specialties. Fellowship training in Critical & Emergency Ultrasound and Pre-Hospital Care & Disaster are also conducted throughout the year. Currently, the faculty is the only medical faculty in Malaysia that offers the Medical Ethichs & Law programme. It is a coursework programme conducted over three semesters and has been quickly gaining popularity.
