The Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) discipline comprises of dynamic academic staff with varied clinical interest areas. We provide clinical services in multidisciplinary approach with support from other dedicated healthcare professionals such as staff nurses, medical laboratory technicians, physiotherapist and dietician. Various teaching and learning activities take place within our department across board from undergraduate medical students, postgraduates and to specialist level.

The public clinical services started with O&G specialist outpatient in UiTM Selayang campus in 2010, proceeded by the O&G specialist clinic in UiTM Sungai Buloh campus in 2011. The outpatient clinics quickly gained good reputation among general public that we have to expand our service to meet the demand from time to time.

We started performing outpatient procedures in 2012, followed by minor and major operations in Sungai Buloh campus. The labour room services started in late 2020 with increasing number of deliveries. We are involved in primary prevention strategies on holistic women’s and perinatal health such as campaigns for women to promote screening of gynaecological cancer, and antenatal vaccination.

November 2021 marked our remarkable history when all these services have been moved to our hospital in Hospital UiTM Puncak Alam. We will further strive to provide the best and evidence-based care for women health.
