ECE Module

Introduction to the Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) Module:

The UiTM medical curriculum is an integrated program that employs various learning modalities, including Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Directed Self-Learning (DSL), and Small Group Sessions (SGS), alongside didactic teaching. Clinical integration commences early through the Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) module in Years 1 and 2. This module emphasises communication skills, basic history-taking, fundamental examination techniques, and essential clinical skills.

Instructions to Students:

Semester 1

  • 1st step: Get assessed by staff during the Handwashing Practical session or at the Clinical Simulation Centre (CSC).
  • Booking details if assessed at CSC: Use this booking form to schedule a session at least one week before the assessment.
  • 2nd step: A certificate will be emailed to you as proof of completion. Upload the proof of completion here: Submission form.

Semester 2

  • Step 2: Get assessed at the Clinical Simulation Centre in the Level 2 Academic Building at the Faculty of Medicine, Sungai Buloh Campus, according to the group schedule.
    If you are unable to attend according to the schedule, book another date
    here.
  • Step 3: Upon completion, a certificate will be emailed to you. Upload the certificate as proof of completion via the Submission Form.

Semester 3

  • Step 2: Get assessed at the Clinical Simulation Centre in the Level 2 Academic Building at the Faculty of Medicine, Sungai Buloh Campus, according to the group schedule.

Semester 4

  • Step 2: Get assessed by staff during the BMI & Waist-Hip measurement session.
  • Step 2: Upon completion, a certificate will be emailed to you. Upload the certificate as proof of completion via the Submission Form.
