Curriculum
- Facilitates and serves as a reference point for the development of new courses, modules, postings, and programmes within the faculty.
- Assists and provides advisory services for curriculum review processes for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Supports and offers guidance during accreditation processes for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Collaborates with the Academic Office and Postgraduate Office to ensure effective curriculum implementation.
Assessment
- Provides expert advice and consultancy for course mapping and blueprint development.
- Acts as a permanent member of the faculty’s vetting committee to ensure quality and standardization.
- Conducts standard-setting sessions for undergraduate examinations.
- Analyzes undergraduate examination results to maintain consistent performance metrics.
- Evaluates feedback on courses, modules, postings, and programmes, and provides actionable recommendations for improvement.
Faculty Development Unit
- Coordinates and organizes training sessions and workshops aimed at:
- Enhancing teaching and learning skills among faculty members.
- Supporting curriculum development and evaluation processes.
- Improving strategies and techniques for assessment and evaluation.
- Promoting student development and enhancing student engagement in learning.
- Fostering the personal and professional development of faculty members.
- Facilitates student development programmes under the department, such as the Student Mixtapes/Podcast initiative.
- Conducts student selection processes using the Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) method.
Research, Innovation & Technology Unit
- Coordinates and organizes training sessions and workshops to enhance research and innovation in medical education.
- Assists faculty members in designing medical education-based research projects and scholarly writing.
- Facilitates collaboration and networking opportunities for medical education research, including innovations in teaching and learning, among faculty members and both national and international researchers.
Simulation Unit
- Promotes the use of clinical simulations as an integral part of teaching and learning activities in the curriculum.
- Provides services related to clinical simulations to support teaching and learning activities.
- Assists in the development of modules that incorporate clinical simulations, enhancing the realism and efficacy of medical training.
