UiTM Faculty of Medicine delegates Participate in the 14th World Congress of Bioethics

The 14th World Congress of Bioethics (WCB)  in conjunction with the 7th Indian National Bioethics Conference was recently held from 5-7 December 2019 at St. John's National Academy of Health Sciences in Bengaluru. The WCB is a biennial event organised by the International Association for Bioethics (IAB) and the event was attended by more than 750 participants from 75 countries with 21 concurrent parallel tracks!

The UiTM Medical Ethics & Law team had two abstracts accepted for the congress. "Patient's right to information in medical care" by Dr Lydia Aiseah was accepted for a poster presentation while "Considerations for utilising Massive Open Online Courses to deliver undergraduate medical ethics curriculum in Malaysia" by Dr Mark Tan was accepted for an oral presentation.

Overall, our delegates had a fruitful time learning about "Health for all in an unequal world: Obligations of Global Bioethics" which was the theme of the congress, and displaying the work currently being done in UiTM.
