Introduction

Our Orthopaedic Department currently has 13 surgeons who are doing their clinical teachings and practices in both UiTM campuses and other affiliated hospitals mainly Hospital Selayang and Hospital Sungai Buloh. We are working together with the specialists under Ministry of Health in providing clinical services to the public. We are progressing to create a unit that will eventually become one of the tertiary referral centre and Orthopaedic training centre for the nation, which will soon centred at Hospital UiTM Puncak Alam.

Our first medical students intake was in June 2003. The number of students intake has grown over the years and currently we have over 200 students intake per year. Students start their Orthopaedic surgery posting in year four for a period of 8 weeks. The posting is divided equally between the two teaching hospitals at Selayang and Sungai Buloh Hospital.
