WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE
Introduction
Department of Internal Medicine UiTM had its humble beginning in 2007 in Selayang Hospital with establishment of the Cardiology and Respiratory units. Now, it has grown rapidly with establishment of multiple subspecialty units providing a wide range of services encompassing both inpatient and outpatient clinical services.
Department of Internal Medicine consisted of multiple internal medicine subspecialties including:Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Endocrine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Oncology, Palliative Medicine, Geriatrics and General Medicine.
Apart from providing clinical service, we have established the current Internal Medicine clinical undergraduate curriculum as well as providing postgraduate training and curriculum for Master in Internal Medicine (Mmed) programme in Universiti Teknologi Mara. In the future, we look forward to expand the department's clinical services and further research activities in clinical medicine.
