Congratulation for our Students!

A group of Year 2 Medical students from our Faculty has won Third Place at the 3rd Intervarsity Parasitology Quiz Competition which was held at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya on 27 Aug 2019. This competition was organized by the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, UM and supported by the Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine (MSPTM).
The names of our student participants are:
1) Shelly Melissa Binti Syazwan Lai
2) Nur Atiqah Najaha Binti Mohd Pauzi
3) Akmal Mubin Bin Hasini
4) Syasya Atiqah Binti Azlanhazli (reserved)
A total of seven local universities took part in this competition (UM, UiTM, UNIMAS, MSU, MAHSA, UniSHAM and UCSI). Our team entered the Grand Final after the first round (against both MSU and MASHA), and then secured the Third Place during the Final. The Champion for the year 2019 was UM, and the Second Place by UCSI.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UM, Prof. Dato Dr. Adeeba Kamarulzaman, presented the trophies to our students during the award ceremony.
The team would like to thank the Head of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Parasitology (Dr. Siti Farah Alwani), and Deputy Dean (Academic & Student), Dr Effat Omar, for the support given to the team.
