Faculty of Medicine UiTM began with an intake of 20 students in 2003. Today, the faculty has expanded rapidly to accomodate an intake of over 200 students per year. At present, pre-clinical is conducted at Shah Alam Campus. Our new medical campuses are located at Sg. Buloh and Selayang. The Selayang Campus was officially opened on the 21st of January 2010 and the Sg. Buloh Campus is within its phase 2a development, to be completed in 2012. The rural health posting is conducted at Teluk Intan Campus, Perak. Our MBBS Programme (MBBS 220) offers a hybrid curriculum combining the traditional lectures and problem-based learning (PBL) packages. We are the first in the country to offer MBBS with Advanced Medical Science (MBBS 222). The faculty is equipped with research facilities such as Institute for Molecular Medical Biotechnology (IMMB), Centre for translational Research & Epidemiology (CenTRE) and Centre for Pathology and Diagnostic Research Laboratory (CPDRL). We provide outpatient services at UiTM Selayang Specialist Clinic and inpatient services at Clinical Training Centre (CTC) Sungai Buloh Campus. |
