Introduction UiTM Faculty of Medicine Sungai Buloh campus has completed its first phase of development and its second phase will be completed in the year 2012. The campus contains a clinical building and research building along with student’s accommodation for year one, two and three. Currently, year three students have occupied the hostel but pre-clinical teaching is still conducted at Shah Alam campus. Facilities at the clinical and research building:
The clinical training centre provides clinical services for all different specialties and is equipped with a radiological department, pharmacy, non-invasive cardiac unit (NICU) and laboratory facilities. There is also an inpatient ward for admission. The faculty of medicine promotes and encourages research in various fields amongst its academic staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students. Our year 3 students are encouraged to conduct a research project during their elective period and the MBBS with Advanced Medical Science programme is an attempt to introduce the concept of research and scientific thinking amongst our undergraduate. The faculty also promotes collaborative research among different faculties as well as collaboration with local and overseas universities. UiTM Sungai Buloh campus is located within 700 meters walking distance to Hospital Sungai Buloh. It is a Ministry of Health (MOH) hospital with UiTM teaching facilities and clinical arrangements for our year 3 students. The phase 2a development at Sungai Buloh will be a primary care specialist centre and an academic centre. Universiti Teknologi MARA
