Introduction Selayang campus is one of our new campuses for Faculty of Medicine, UiTM. It was officially opened on the 21st of January 2010 where the key to the building was handed over to our faculty. The campus is made up of an academic building, clinical building and student’s accommodation. The academic building is the home for our academic staff and clinical teaching staff. It also contains a large main lecture theatre for a capacity of 250 students. Other teaching facilities include:
The academic building contains offices for academic and teaching staff, Medical education research development unit (MERDU) and faculty meeting rooms. The clinical building is equipped with an outpatient department and research facilities:
Student Accommodation: Year 4 and year 5 students are placed in the residential hostel at Selayang campus. It is within 900 meters walking distance to Hospital Selayang. Hospital Selayang is a Ministry of Health (MOH) hospital with teaching facilities for UiTM Students in year 4 and year 5. Our clinical lecturers also contribute their services to Hospital Selayang. UiTM respiratory unit at Hospital Selayang has received full accreditation as a Respiratory Training Centre.
