Faculty of Medicine

The faculty of Medicine was initially located at Shah Alam main campus, our administration office occupied the 20th floor of Tower 1, Science and Technology building and we managed to secure a few more floors sharing with the faculty of engineering. It was a temporary agreement until our new faculty campuses were completed. Shah Alam campus is the main UiTM campus. It is a well established institution with good infrastructure, easy access roads and public transport.

To date, most of our administrative staff has moved to the new Selayang campus. The pre-clinical teaching is still conducted at Shah Alam main campus and the year 1 and year 2 students are placed in student’s residential hostels in Shah Alam. The pre-clinical teaching involves anatomy, physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacology and general pathology lectures and seminars. Our early clinical exposure (ECE) teachings are also conducted at Shah Alam campus.

The facilities that are in Shah Alam campus include a Multi-purpose laboratory, a library, an anatomy museum and clinical skills laboratory. The pre-clinical teaching and facilities are due to be relocated to our new Sungai Buloh campus pending completion of phase 2a development in the year 2012.
