Structure of the Programme of MBBS with Adv Med Sc
This programme requires the students to take a year off from their undergraduate medical studies to do research. During this period they would be involved in research activities such as writing a research proposal, laboratory or bench work, data collection and writing a dissertation under the supervision of a supervisor (s). Upon completion of the intercalated year, the student will graduate with "MBBS with Advanced Medical Sciences" awarded by UiTM.
The research work will be in areas of all branches of medical sciences such as Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Parasitology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine and Sciences, Surgery, Medicine, Psychiatary, Psychology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology or any other sub-specialities in Medical Sciences. The reseacrh proposal has to be agreed upon by pre-identified supervisor (s) and approved by the Advanced Medical Science Committee.
