Message from the Chairman of MBBS with Adv Med Sc
| The Faculty of Medicine is very proud to be one of the rapidly growing Faculties in Southeast Asia which started its journey 8 years back with only 20 students. This year our intake is 238 under graduate students. To fulfill your expectations, more than 150 academicians including 20 full professors have been working together. This is aimed to give you the confidence that your education in the Faculty of Medicine of UiTM is underpinned by an excellence in teaching and enhanced by research. This will impact you during lecturers, seminar and project work during your preclinical degree programme. The taste of such research experience encourages and leads many of our graduates to undertake postgraduate studies. This faculty introduces a new course, MBBS 222: MBBS with Advanced Medical Science. The MBBS with Adv Med Sc is intellectually demanding and will require great commitment on your part and for some of you, probably more time on campus than many other students which is inevitable for lab-based training. Clinical Research Laboratory and the Centre for Translational Research and Epidemiology are among the best in the region and on a cycle of continual improvement. This would enable you to learn in the best possible research environment and, eventually will become a second home for the duration of your MBBS with Adv Med Sc studies.
