Candidates who successfully complete the course will be awarded the degree, Master of Medicine (Psychiatry).

In line with our mission, we have included Ethics and Medical Jurisprudence program as part of the PBM department.

The teaching of EMJ is an essential component in the undergraduate and postgraduate medical curriculum. It provides students with the required knowledge of ethics and law in medicine.

Appreciating the importance, since its inception the Faculty of Medicine UiTM has created a module on EMJ as part of the undergraduate curriculum. In addition, it also complements the medical curriculum in providing sufficient knowledge and understanding with the appropriate skills and attitude to take the clinical responsibilities. Year 5 students need to pass the EMJ exam before allowed to sit for their Pro 3 exam.

The Master in EMJ (MEMJ) has just recently started in 2015. It is the only such programme offered in a public University in Malaysia. The programme allows doctors, lawyers, nurses and any health-related professionals to study in depth the area of ethics and law in medicine.
